TAG

Much appreciation

For the fascination

And the sensation

Of much elation

Though you’re not Haitian

Trying out immigration

With the expectation

Of a better life.

My motivation

Is the realization

Of eventual transformation

Even with trepidation

Of the impending situation

Of an ending life.

I’ll turn off the TV station

Get some relaxation

Do one respiration

Out of obligation

And preservation

Of my own life.

There will be no hesitation

For a future conversation

With one so full of animation

And deserving of much admiration.

Tag in imitation

And with double acceleration

With no explanation,

Andrea

Great Blog.
If the "G" in your name stands for Gonzalez then you and my Wife are of the same family line. My wife's family hales from Extremadura, Spain. You resemble my wife's older sister.

Thanks for the compliment! No, my last name does not have any trace of Spanish origins, I just really love the language and cultures. I have been to Spain and it is a very beautiful country.

Did you go to Avila, by any chance? We were there in 1998, and it is quite an enchanting town. Spain is indeed a beautiful country, though it's quite sad that it has become very secular.

No, I was mostly in the south of Spain: Sevilla, Cadíz, Málaga, Granada... But I am always looking for reasons to return! Yes, the country has become quite secular, but Catholicism is so engrained in its roots! The churches, architecture, and celebrations still have that Catholic flavor to them.

Yes Andrea, you are right. All the visible signs of Catholic Spain are still there, Deo Gratias.

Well, if you do go back to Spain, I would highly suggest going to Avila and El Escorial. You will be delighted.
